My services will include the following: A meeting with the family to discuss the service you want to create for your loved one. We will discuss the person they were, the life they led, special reminiscences, and options for readings, poems and music. We can plan who would like to speak at the funeral. As funerals generally take place quite quickly after the death, our meeting may be the next day. As this is a difficult and unfamiliar time it may, therefore, be a good idea to have several members of the family present at this meeting. Subsequent discussions may be on the phone and via email. I will then create a ceremony and write a tribute, (if you would like me to do this) based on the earlier discussion.
I will send you a copy of the order of service and the tribute, for your approval, before the ceremony. Should you wish to make any alterations, this can easily be done. Once you decide you are happy with the ceremony we can finalise details. I will liaise with your Funeral Director in the lead up and during the funeral and l will conduct the funeral ceremony. Many civil funerals take place at a crematorium but this does not have to be the case. Any suitable venue can be used and this can be decided on with your Funeral Director - I will offer any assistance I can in this choice. I will supply you with a copy of the funeral service. Music choices should be supplied in original form on CD or memory stick.
Some weeks after the service I will send you a bound copy of the service as a precious memento
